Hasta la vista Los Angeles

Hi,

Yep, y'all this is my last email in the mission. I'll be going home this week. Crazy how fast these past 18 months have gone. Thank you to all y'all that supported me and showed me so much love, y'all are the best.

This is my favorite area and I'm sad to leave all these people, but I'm super grateful for the time I've been able to spend here.  El barrio Cabrillo will forever have a special place en mi corazón. 😌 We had a fun farewell party with the Alvas today, I love them so much.

I just want to share my testimony that I know that God loves every single one of us. We are His children and He's always looking after us. My mission was unbelievably hard, but I never felt alone.  I've always felt His love and support through it all. Prayer has been one way I've truly found peace through hard times and I know God is always ready to listen. My testimony of the Atonement of Jesus Christ has grown so much, being able to see people change and have light in their life again has testified that anyone can change, if they center their life in Christ. I know that He lives! I feel super blessed to have all these experiences that have helped me become more like our Savior.

I LOVE LOS ANGELES

Amén y amén

¡cuídense!

Buenas noticias (Good News)

Hi Y'all,

GOOD NEWS!!  First off, the rules for COVID in Los Angeles have lifted a little and we can now have church INSIDE THE CHURCH!!!! Yesterday, I had my first sacrament meeting inside a church for the first time in a year, feeling super blessed. There's something different about having church in the chapel, the spirit was so strong. #countyourmanyblessings.  During the meeting, all the missionaries serving in our ward (two sets of Elders and Hermana Biesinger and I) got the opportunity to share our testimonies.

ALSO, we can now eat with members that have had the Covid vaccine!!!!! My favorite people, la familia Alva, have been vaccinated and we have already had two meals with them. I'm sososo happy. Hermano Alva is a recent convert and yesterday he received the priesthood. It was so cool to see how happy he was.  He is so excited to give his wife, kids and grandkids blessings. It was a super cool experience.

I love this area and I'm so grateful to serve these people!

Have a great week, stay safe y'all

Love,
Hermana Weenig <3

Mission Video Call with Elder Cook

 Heyyyy heyyy

It's been a busy week.  My new companion, Hermana Beisinger from Rhode Island, is amazing.  This past week our mission had the opportunity to have a zoom call with Elder Quinton L. Cook. It was super good. He talked a lot about how the sacrifices we make right now will bless us and the lives of our loved ones forever. The trials you are going through right now are bringing you blessings! It's crazy to think that through the hard times in our lives is when we grow the most. When we center our lives around Christ and trust in him, we are able to go through those hard times with help. No matter how hard we try, we all are going to have difficult times and experiences, but I know when we trust God we will have that hope to keep going.

Love you all so much!!! Stay safe!!!

Love,
