California Chilling

Hi Y'all,

This week was great!

We had three lessons in person!!!!!, which is so great -- it's been a while.  I love the people here, they are amazing. We set a baptism date with our friend, Oscar! We had had two lessons with him and during our third lesson, he said he wanted to be baptized.  The lesson was super spiritual and amazing!  Oscar is so prepared!!!!  We set a date for mid-July and he asked to meet with us every day to continue to learn. God really does prepare those ready to hear the gospel.

Today we were able to go to the beach and jam.  While there, I was reminded about how beautiful this earth is and how God created it all. We truly are so blessed.

Love y'all!  Be safe!

Technology Specialist teehee

Hola!!

I was transferred last week and super sad to say goodbye to our friends, but also super exciting to go to another area!!! I had to leave my cute little compañera, Hermanita Ramírez.  Literally so hard, I love her so much. But my new companion is amazing!! Her name is Hermana Fernandez! She is awesome! Her familia is from Peru, but she grew up in Provo, Utah.  So we know a lot of the same people! I was moved to San Fernando, it's in the valley. Even though it's super hot, I love it!!! It feels amazing to get out of the city. I was shook when I saw the "mountains" here. It's a lot more calm here. The people are amazing, we have so many friends with so much potential! I'm so excited.

We have been given the assignment as the technology specialists of the mission. So basically what we do is give training to the mission and help with all the social media stuff, the pages and everything.   Before my mission, I thought that I would have a year and a half off from social media and technology, but bruhhh all day everyday.
Everything is going great!!! We can teach only our friends in person, if they invite us.  We can't meet with members yet, but little by little!!!

Love y'all!!! Have the best week!
¡Chao!

Cuarentena

Hey y'all!

This last week we were able to see Gloria, Junior, Marvin and Isabella in person!!!! I forgot what it was like to see people in real life because the only human interaction I've had with people is with my companion and my roommates for the last 3 months.  It felt like I was dreaming. But than all these riots started happening and it is really bad here in downtown LA so we have to go back into cuarentena (quarantine) again! Yay... but y'all need to stay safe and be smart!!!!

I want to tell you about our friend Elias.  We found him a few months back, when we were free and able to walk the streets of Los Angeles.  We were walking and heard something coming up from behind us and when I turned around, I almost got ran over by a bike. He was riding his bike drunk.  When he got control of his bike, he said sorry and then saw that we were missionaries. He then started to break down in tears and told us how he wants to change his life and wants to stop drinking. He felt like he had sinned too much and that God would never forgive him. It was super sad. We told him that God will always forgive you no matter what, because He has so much love for each of His children. Since then, we have been able to teach him a lot and I've seen his life change so much. Its amazing how he can't really see the difference in himself, but we can. He is changing for the better and coming closer to Christ everyday. Even if we have to teach the same lesson to him 3 or 4 times for him to understand, I'm unbelievably grateful to teach him.

I want you all to know that God will always love and forgive you, if you truly want to change, you can. He's just waiting for you to ask for help and take that leap of faith. :)

I hope all is well! I love y'all so much!
God loves y'all as well ♡

Love,
