Living & Chilling

Hey Y'all,

Another week in quarantine! Super exciting! We were able to visit the temple grounds and to go on a hike. #grateful.  It was so nice to be able to take a break from the apartment for a bit, while making sure we keep those face masks on.

We were also able to let Gloria take a tour of the L.A. temple visitor's center via technology.  With a three-way zoom call (Visitor's Center sisters, Gloria and us).  She loved it!

This last week I studied a lot about faith, and we really do need to have faith in all things, without faith we can't progress. It's the first step to get closer to Jesucristo :) (Jesus Christ).  One scripture I love in the Book of Mormon is Alma 32:21 "And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith, ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true."

Love y'all! Stay safe!

Jumping for joy with Sister Westcott because we were able to go on a hike (more like a nice stroll).

Flores

Hi Y'all,

Another great week in quarantine and the Lord's work continues.  We have been working with the members of our ward (via technology) to find people to teach and this week we were able to find two new people.  It is really hard to find people to teach when we can't leave our apartment, but the members have been amazing.  Also, we were told this week that we may be in quarantine through the summer. :(  LA has been hit really hard.

This week while we were teaching Gloria and her family, we found out that she was short on money and they didn't have food in their fridge.  When the quarantine started, we were told to get a two week supply of food in case we were not able to get food.  We were prompted to take that supply to her and we left it on her doorstep along with some cookies and ran.  She was embarrassed about it, but was very grateful.

This past week Hermano Flores, a member in our ward, past away from corona. His wife, Luz, is the one we've been teaching my whole mission, so it was really sad to hear about it. He was always super nice and a great example and I know he'll continue to be an example to those on the other side.

God has a beautiful plan for us, at times it can be super difficult, but he only gives you trials that he knows we can conquer.

Love you all! Keep being the best! Stay safe!

Ready to doorbell ditch some food.
Ward members delivered In-N-Out for our dinner -- They are the best!
Pizza delivered by a former missionary from LA that served in the same mission as by brother, Hayden.
 So thoughtful!

Only been waiting eight months for this.  I finally found acai bowls.  Yummy!  Almost as good as Ivie's.

I LOVE MY MOM

Hi Y'all,

I hope everyone spent some good time with their mamas for mother's day. I'm sososo grateful for my mom! She's such a blessing and I love her so much. LOVE YOU MOM!

This week was the same ol' same ol'. It's hard to be in quarantine, but we can leave to exercise in the morning and we can take an afternoon walk.  Best of all, the Lord's work progresses no matter how hard Satan tries to stop it. However, we found out we have to push our baptisms back another three weeks because here in downtown LA, Corona is still super bad. But all is well.

Have a great week!

Love you! Be safe!
