CoRoNaviRuS

Hi Y'all,

This week was great.  Even though we are in quarantine, we have been able to teach so many lessons. During this time, so many people need a message of hope and that's what this gospel is!

Yesterday, I had the opportunity to call my whole family and have a testimony meeting with them! They all have amazing spirits and I'm so grateful for them. Families are so important. Y'all make sure you don't take for granted your family. Having a family is one of the many blessings we have.

I want to share a little part of my testimony with you guys. I know that God loves each and everyone of you. My favorite scripture is Romans 8:39 "Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Trust in God. With all this craziness going around, know that He has a plan for you. I have a strong testimony that families are forever and that God gave us families so we can have people to lean on in this life and to have that support. I'm unbelievably thankful that I can live with my family after this life. En el nombre de Jesucristo amén.

Stay strong! Love you all! Stay safe and healthy!!!

Chilling

Hi Y'all,

For the past five days, we have been stuck in our apartment. We have been doing a lot of video calls and doing all our finding on Facebook. It's been really different having to do all our work from inside, but we have had some lessons over the phone that were super spiritual. Even though we aren't there in person, the spirit is and that's what teaches the lesson. So, it's been cool.

We taught Gloria, with the cute kids, over the phone and the whole time they kept screaming.  We told them if they would sit down and listen, we could play a game with them through the phone.  Isabella wanted to play hide and seek, but we didn't know how to make that work so we played Simon Says instead.  Gloria and Junior are progressing!!  Junior said that he got in trouble the other day because he was reading the Book of Mormon at 2:00 am haha.  They are the best family!!!

If any of you guys have questions about the gospel, email me!!! We would love to answer them.

Love you guys!  Stay safe and healthy! God loves each and every one of you and has a plan for you personally.

LOVE Y'ALL,

Love,
Hermana Weenig

Hermana Winnie

Hi Y'all,

I named this email Hermana Winnie because literally no Latino can say my name. They always say "Hermana Winnie"? Like, Winnie the Pooh? It's my favorite thing. haha

Transfers are tomorrow!!! I'm staying in my area with Hermana Ramírez! We are getting roommates and guess who one of them is?!?! Sister Westcott!!!!!! But yeah, these past few weeks have been crazy.

To start off, two weeks ago, we had a lesson around 8 am and after the lesson we saw we had 15 missed calls from President Cordón. So we quickly called back. He then said that I was being emergency transferred to the visitor center at the Los Angeles Temple for one week. They were short a sister for a week and we have three in our companionship.  So we zoomed home, got some clothes and they took me to the temple. I was companions with Hermana Sarmiento for the week. She's from Ecuador and she goes home this Wednesday. She is possibly the sweetest human being I have ever met. I love her so much. After a week, I came back to my area to our trio with Hermana Wall and Hermana Ramírez.

We learned how to make pupusas, finally!!!! With our friend and investigator, Zuli, taught us. She's awesome!  She really, really loves the Bible and loves reading the word of God with us. So it's been super fun teaching her.

We are teaching this family and I love them so much. We started teaching Gloria first and found out she's taking care of her grandkids:  Junior (13), Marvin (7), and Isabella (5). Their mom was deported and their dad isn't in the picture. They are soososososo fun. They live in a super tiny house. Yesterday, we made cookies with them! They must have had the special touch, because they were the best cookies I have ever made. This was my favorite lesson I've ever had. hahaha While the cookies were baking, we played hide and seek. You would be surprised at all the hiding spots they can find in a one room house. They are my favorite family.

We set a baptismal date with Nabil! She said she wanted to be baptized ASAP. But then during our lesson with her yesterday, we found out she's not married to Danny. So we had to explain that they need to get married first and she said okay. I don't know when they are getting married, but it's gonna happen soon!

Okay, y'all I love you guys and just wanted to say that this gospel is true.  With all this craziness with the corona virus, my testimony of our living prophet, Russel M. Nelson, has grown so much. Prophets over the years have been preparing us for all this craziness. I know that God loves each and every one of you! Love y'all, stay safe and healthy!!!!
